NI (National Instruments) has provided yet another donation for the engineering, science and technology programs offered at the University of Debrecen. At the official donation ceremony held on Wednesday, the Faculty of Engineering received HUF 4 million worth of technological support, while the share of the Faculty of Science and Technology of the same was HUF 7.4 million.

The University of Debrecen has been ranked 25th in the Eastern European thematic rankings of the SCImago Institutions Rankings. In the field of energy, UD has outperformed prestigious institutions such as the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia), the Jagiellonian University (Poland), and Charles University (Czech Republic).

This has been the eighth time that the Department of Mechatronics of the Faculty of Technology of the University of Debrecen (UD) has staged its professional event „Engineering and Mechatronics EEMC’21” on October 27-29 with the motto “Revolution of Smart Devices Containing Mechanical Components”.

Partners of the University of Debrecen are to present their research projects planned for the next seven-year economic cycle of the European Union and their possibilities for cooperation at the 2021 conference of the university network of applied sciences hosted in Debrecen between October 27 and 29

Students of the UD, who took part in the nuclear energy competition, known as Hackatom organised by Rosatom Central-Europe, Paks Nuclear Power Plant Ltd. along with Paks II. Ltd, this spring, had the chance to get acquainted with Unit 4 of Paks Nuclear Power Plant on the spot.

The representatives of Daimler, one of the world’s biggest bus manufacturer companies, visited the UD. The manufacturer discussed the opportunities of cooperation with their partner, Inter Traction Electrics Ltd., subsidiary of ITK holding. They met with the leaders of the UD.

A sponsorship agreement of one hundred million forints was signed by the UD and ITK Ltd. Within the cooperation the company group offered two Mercedes-Benz self-propelled chassis and a Mercedes-Benz passenger car for the UD and Debrecen Vocational Training Centre.

As of 22 September 2021, all employees and students of the University of Debrecen are required to wear a mask that covers their mouths and noses in working hours and in school hours in all rooms used for working and teaching purposes, as well as in public areas and restrooms.

Relying on grant sources, the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Debrecen helps engineering students reach their academic goals by designing practice-oriented digital learning content, offering language courses, and providing mentoring services to disadvantaged students.

This was the third, and final closing ceremony held by the University of Debrecen in the Nagyerdei Stadium. Saturday saw the farewells of graduates of the Faculty of Health, Dentistry, Child Education and Special Education, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Engineering and Public Health.
